Privacy Policy

Ball Maze is a game for children. We built it to collect as little as possible, and this page explains exactly what that is.

Who this game is for

Ball Maze is directed at children under 13. We designed it to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including its specific protections for children (often called GDPR-K), and the Google Play Families Policy.

This policy covers the Ball Maze app and this website. If anything here is unclear, please write to us. The address is at the bottom of this page.

What we do not collect

We do not collect personal information from anyone who plays the game. There is no account, no sign-up, no chat and nothing for a child to type in. In particular, the game does not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers or any other contact details
  • Precise location. The game does not ask for location permission.
  • Contacts, photos, videos, microphone or camera data
  • The device’s advertising ID. The game does not read it or send it anywhere.

Advertising

The game shows ads served by Google AdMob, which keeps the game free. Every ad request is marked as child-directed, so ads are non-personalised, limited to the G (general audiences) content rating, and are not based on a child’s interests or behaviour. Some ads are optional rewarded videos that a player can choose to watch for in-game coins.

To deliver an ad and protect against fraud, Google receives limited technical information such as the device type, operating system and IP address. It does not receive the advertising ID, and it may not use this information to build a profile or personalise ads. In the EEA and the UK, Google’s consent message may appear, and it is set up to treat the player as under the age of consent.

Anonymous gameplay analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played, so that we can improve it. For example, we look at which levels are started and finished, how far players progress, and which features are used. These events are linked only to a random app-instance ID that Firebase creates when the game is installed. The ID is not tied to a person, an account or the advertising ID, and it changes if the game is reinstalled.

Firebase may use the IP address to estimate a general region such as the country. It does not store the IP address with these events. Analytics data is used only to improve the game. It is never used for advertising, and it is deleted automatically after a limited retention period.

Crash reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive anonymous crash reports when the game stops working. A report contains technical details such as the device model, operating system version, app version and what the game was doing when it crashed. It is linked to a random installation ID and contains no personal information. We use it only to find and fix bugs.

What stays on the device

Game progress, coins, unlocked skins and settings are stored only on the device. They are not uploaded to us. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data in the device settings, removes them permanently.

No selling, no tracking

We do not sell, rent or share any information for advertising, cross-app tracking or profiling. The only services that receive data from the game are the Google services described above, and only for the purposes described above.

This website does not use cookies, analytics, trackers or third-party scripts, and it has no forms.

Google’s policies

The Google services the game uses follow their own privacy terms:

Parents’ rights

If you are a parent or guardian, you can ask us any question about this policy or how the game handles data, at any time, by emailing hello@krapton.com. You can also ask us to delete data relating to your child, or ask that no further data be collected.

Because we hold nothing that identifies your child, we cannot usually match a specific device to the anonymous analytics or crash records. To stop all collection straight away, uninstall the game. That also deletes everything stored on the device. If you write to us, we will explain what we can do and help as far as we are able. We aim to reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the game handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. We will never start collecting personal information from children without first meeting the parental-consent requirements of the law.
